Ribbons & Fountains & Stars, Oh My! with Painless Paper Piecing

Length: 1 day (6 hours)
Project: "Ribbons & Fountains & Stars, Oh My!" Point-to-Point Spiral Quilt
Skill Level: All levels
Prerequisites: Previous foundation piecing experience is helpful but not necessary
Fee: Click "Booking/Registration" at left
Materials Fee: $25 per student (see below); optional fabric kit $69

Make this stunning quilt using Point-to-Point spiral blocks. You'll learn how to color and combine these elegant spirals to create a quilt design with flowing ribbons, fountains, stars and more. Along the way, you'll also learn how to select fabrics by color, value and pattern, and learn RaNae's techniques for foundation piecing that make it easier than ever before. You'll work on the center block in class to learn the techniques so you can finish the quilt at home. The finished quilt is 50" square. (And in case you only want to make one block, there's a placemat pattern so you don't end up with another UFO!)

Materials fee includes preprinted foundations for the center block; templates, instructions and two packages EQ Printables Foundation Sheets for finishing the quilt top; and a placemat pattern for using a single block.

An optional fabric kit in the colors shown above is available for $69.00 through my online store (click "STORE" above). Please refer to the materials list for information about preordering.

Click on "Materials & Prep List" at left for detailed materials list. RaNae's book Simply Amazing Spiral Quilts is recommended, and will be available for purchase at the workshop. (The basic information covered in this class is also contained in her second book Magnificent Spiral Mandala Quilts.) To purchase books and materials before the workshop, click on "STORE" above.

For presenters:

If you are scheduling this workshop with a Nesting or Baravelle spiral workshop, please schedule the Nesting or Baravelle spiral workshop before this one, so that this workshop builds on the skills learned in previous workshop(s).
